The Washington Redskins should be thanking 8-pound, 6-ounce baby Jesus that they escaped Los Angeles with a win against the Rams last Sunday (even though there was no reason that should’ve ended up being a close game)
On January 9th, 2014, the Washington Redskins hired Jay Gruden to succeed Mike Shanahan as head coach. Gruden, a sought-after coach, cut his teeth through the coaching ranks to finally step out of his brother’s shadow.
About 10 days from now, the Washington Redskins will head into the 2017 NFL Draft with nine picks at their disposal, and a whole lot of needs to fill (even if the team did finish with a winning record last season).
You’ll have to forgive me if, after the first full weekend of football (with College and the NFL back in full effect), I come off a little testy in this column.
