The season from betting hell is almost over. This should be a fun last weekend of the season.
(Picks in bold)
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions (-7) — The Packers without Aaron Rodgers is a pretty bad football team. Advantage: the hobbled Matthew Stafford and the Lions, who could be playing their last game for head coach Jim Caldwell.
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) — Once again, neither coach may be back. Everyone seems to be convinced that Bill O’Brien is a great coach – I have not seen it yet. The dude has not put together a competent offense without Deshaun Watson and is still struggling to utilize the talents of DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller, and Lamar Miller.
Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings (-10.5) — A Vikings win guarantees that Minnesota grabs the No. 2 seed and a first round bye in the NFC playoffs. It’ll happen as the John Fox era mercifully comes to an end in the Windy City.
New York Jets at New England Patriots (-15.5) — There have been rumors of Todd Bowles being a candidate for the Cardinals’ job if Bruce Arians retires as has been reported. The Jets should give a good fight in this game in a major season of transition for the franchise.
Washington Redskins at New York Giants (+3.5) — The Kirk Cousins’ saga comes to a head this week as the Redskins’ faithful braces for an eventful offseason. My prediction: he stays on a long term deal.
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles (+2.5) — This is the same game as last year, only with the situations reversed.
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (-12.5) — There is no way in hell that a coach, who goes 0-16 after a season of going 1-15 should keep his job right? Moreover, no other franchise should trade for this coach to coach their team right? Insanity, meet Hue Jackson.
Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens (-10) — The Bengals go out with a bang and win Marvin Lewis’ final game in orange and black.
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins (+3) — Nathan Peterman. Nathan Peterman. Nathan Peterman. Nathan Peterman. Nathan Peterman. That’s 5 times.
New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7) — It was refreshing to see a player care as much as Jameis Winston does for a team that is going absolutely nowhere. He deserves better than Dirk Koetter.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans (-3.5) — Yeah, I don’t think Tennessee has anything left. It’s over for Mike Mularkey.
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos (-3.5) — The Patrick Mahomes show is going to be fascinating to watch.
Oakland Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers (-7.5) — We deserve to see the Chargers in the playoffs. Hopefully it happens.
San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams (+3.5) — The Rams are going to tank for the 4 seed so they can head to Philadelphia in the second round. Meanwhile, the Jimmy Garoppolo show is epic.
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks (-9.5) — The Seahawks will win this game convincingly and look like a real threat to the NFC championship, but it won’t matter because….
Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons (-4) — The Falcons are going to stomp all over the Panthers on Sunday and we will all get ready for Round 3 of New Orleans vs. Atlanta. This should be fun.
