For me to finish over .500 this season, I would have to go 35-13 the last three weeks. That’s not happening. However, what is happening is the most pivotal week to playoff positioning. Let’s do this!
(Picks in bold)
Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts (+2.5) — Are we sure we can’t flex this to… off TV? Two coaches who are dead men walking just playing out the string with quarterbacks who won’t be the starters next year. Why is this on National TV?
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (-5.5) — I thought the Bears would have quit on John Fox by now – I was wrong. Here begins the annual Matthew Stafford December run to bring the Lions to deciding their playoff fate in Week 17.
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (+1) — The better team wins. Arrowhead on Saturday night is daunting I’m sure, but Phillip Rivers doesn’t take shit from anyone.
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills (-3.5) — Tyrod Taylor is still questionable for this game, but don’t expect his counterpart Jay Cutler to replicate what he did Monday night against the Patriots’ defense. Buffalo actually has players on that side of the ball.
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (+7) — Just keep an eye on this game. I’m not saying the Browns will win, but…
Cincinnati Bengals at Minnesota Vikings (-10.5) — After last week’s loss to Carolina, the Vikings’ defense isn’t going to go away quietly. Expect Andy Dalton to have a bad game as the Marvin Lewis era finally succumbs to its knees.
New York Jets at New Orleans Saints (-15) — With no Josh McCown, it’s time for the Jets to finally enter the tank in Week 15.
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants (+7.5) — Yes, it’s Nick Foles. But it’s Eli Manning on the other side so…
Arizona Cardinals at Washington Redskins (-4.5) — The Jay Gruden era may be over in three weeks to very little fault of his own, but the Redskins look like a team that has mailed it in for the year. Contrast that with the Cardinals who are playing their ass off for perhaps the last games of Bruce Arians’ career.
Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panthers (-3) — Aaron Rodgers looks like he’ll be back, so I’ll regret this pick. But, has anyone seen that Green Bay defense? It’s atrocious.
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-10.5) — It’s nice to see Trent Dilfer — I mean Blake Bortles — finally coming into his own.
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (-1.5) — I think the Rams gave that game away against Philadelphia and knowing the Rams’ coaching staff, they’re going to expect a big time comeback. This should be fun as Seattle tries to hold on and make the playoffs.
New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers (+2.5) — The Patriots are going to have to score 35 points to win this game, and they probably will, but I think this game will come down to which quarterback has the ball last.
Tennessee Titans at San Francisco 49ers (-2) — The respect for Jimmy Garoppolo is evident in this line, but it’s accurate. He’s really good. The Titans, however, are fighting for a playoff spot, and should bounce back after a disappointing week against the Cardinals.
Dallas Cowboys at Oakland Raiders (+3) — Jack Del Rio can’t coach and that team needs to be broken up till they get some sort of discipline. Derek Carr also needs to stop checking down the ball on 3rd and 12.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+6.5) — The Buccaneers are the biggest disappointment in the entire league. What a joke Dirk Koetter’s offense has been; that organization needs better decision makers.
